E31: American Values with Special Guest Patrick Peacock

E31 Introduction

Hello listeners and thank you for tuning into The American Pulse. One of the big trends I am seeing in our state and in our great nation is more and more ordinary folks stepping up to run for political positions. And you hear over and over that the impetus is not ambition. In fact, quite the opposite. Most run because they care for our country and our state and have seen enough corruption and just plain bad results from the entrenched status quo that they feel compelled to do something.

This is true for my guest today. I have been on the periphery of county politics long enough to see that there are some really good people involved. Tireless Patriots who genuinely love their country and want to see us thrive. The problem is the system is beyond corrupted and incentivized to stay corrupt by the deep pocketed Globalist donor class that helped create and sustain said system.

It is a circular, self-sustaining model of graft, deception, and compromises. How do we turn the tides on this? Since we are Americans and most of us do not give up easily, we rely on our faith. In fact, it is only by the grace of God that America will emerge victorious out of the dragon clutches of the Marxists/Globalists that continue to push us in directions that are not American, to say the least.

Let’s be honest. It is easy to feel hopeless in times like these. I don’t know about you but I, for one, am NOT buying their cynicism and hopelessness. That is what they want us to feel. But I don’t want to let them have that. It’s the principle of the thing, are you following me?

There is much to say about this and I will continue to unpack this notion in upcoming episodes (both solo EP’s and with guests). Let’s keep our heads up all you good Americans.  I know it probably sounds a bit funny to some of you but I believe the cavalry is coming. Enjoy the episode.

E30: Celebrating America w U.S. Congressional Candidate Doug Basler

E30 Introduction

Hello listeners and thank you for tuning into The American Pulse. As we turn the calendar over and start to see the November General election coming into sight, I thought it would be a good chance to have some of our conservative candidates on for a chat so you can get to know them a bit better and hopefully earn your vote.

My hope is you see that these are really good humans that genuinely want the best for our nation and our beloved state. The mainstream media and their various minions, have done a great job of demonizing anyone that does not agree with the most radical of ideas: biological men should compete  in women’s sports,  that it is good to have light or no sentencing for repeat violent criminal offenders, you don’t have to be an American to vote in our elections.

It is interesting to note that opposing these strange radical  ideas even 10 or 15 years ago would have been right in the wheelhouse of Kennedy liberals. But the old Kennedy liberal has been jettisoned by their own party. Now, my sense is common sense Democrats are too frightened to speak up against the tide of Radicalism that has overrun their party. I know this because I have heard many of these old school Democrats express this very thing on social media.

The core question for all Americans remains. What is good for our nation? What is good for WA state? What is good for WE THE PEOPLE? Can we have an honest debate about that where both sides can express their views without being shouted down? We seem long overdue for this, don’t we?

My guest today is an excellent example of ordinary Americans that are stepping up to help us all. It is people like this that give me hope that WE THE PEOPLE (from all walks of life and political persuasions) still want to see future generations thrive in this great American experiment.

Let’s get to the interview, it’s a good one. Enjoy the conversation.

Doug Basler Bio

My guest today is Doug Basler. Doug is a husband and father, the Founder and CEO of Prologue Digital Inc. (a Washington based advertising and video production company. He has served the public as a former Vice Chairman of the King Co Republican Party and is the former President of the Eastside Republican Club. He is now running for US Congress in the 9th District, something we talk about in depth today. Enjoy the interview.

AP30 Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed that conversation as much as I did. What a great Congressman Doug would be. Let’s get out and vote in November and get him over the finish line. Make sure you give us a follow on Apple Podcasts or Spotify or wherever you get your podcast content. Thank you listeners and we’ll catch up with you next time on The American Pulse.

E332: The Problem with Marxism with Special Guest Semi Bird

E332 Introduction

One of the things I have always tried to do on Basecamp is to speak the truth but also to shine the light in some of the nooks and crannies of our awareness. This I try to do on a personal level as well as the collective/narrative level.

The question I often as is: What challenges to clear seeing are we currently facing? What are the threats and opportunities for WE THE PEOPLE? In America, the primary threat that I see, the one that underlies all other threats, is the long-march through our institutions of the Marxist/Communist agenda. It has become clear that most of our institutions are infested with Marxist and Communist people and ideas.  And once you see it, you can’t unsee it. It is unsettling to see it but awake is better than sleepwalking while your free nation is being taken from the inside.

Today’s interview is with my new friend Semi Bird. We get into the whole Marxist/Socialist/Communist incursion into our American institutions and highlight education in particular.  My sense is that that Marxism quietly snuck up on many Americans but as my guest and I see it, it needs to be looked at, studied, and countered at every turn. The worst thing we can do as Americans is surrender to this agenda- which is Communist/Globalist and deeply anti-American and anti-humanity.

One of the things that characterizes Marxism and thus, Communism is that it incites hatred amongst people (isn’t that interesting), creates and escalates conflicts, and seizes power through violent revolution or subterfuge. To quote a famous Chinese Communist Chiang Kai-Shek “The goal of communism isn’t to solve problems but to expand global contradictions to the greatest extent possible and cause human struggle to continue forever.” At the point where you have a portion of the population that can’t tell the difference between men and women, I would say Communism is succeeding in creating the contradictions to the greatest extent possible. And look at what one of the main goals of Marxism and Communism: perpetual struggle. Sound like the current state of affairs? Is this what we want-stress, struggle, hatred of others, division. Can we wake up from this bad dream in time to save future generations?

Let’s go dialogue with Semi about this most important challenge Americans face: how do we start to shift things back away from the hatred and division that Marxism creates and start to think about what is good for America and Americans again. How do we reclaim our history and our civics from Communist influenced so-called scholars and teachers who have an entirely different agenda than helping children thrive.

It is a big topic and Semi and I take a big swing at it today with more to come I am sure. Enjoy the episode.

E29: The Semi Bird Interview

E29 Introduction

Hello listeners and thank you for tuning into The American Pulse.  One of the defining characteristics of Americans is a courageous willingness to put our values on the line in the narrative and spiritual battlefield that we are facing. And to take heat in the process. My guest today happens to be a perfect example of this.

He is a man who selflessly stepped up to public service after a long and decorated military service to our nation. Only to be targeted by the morally compromised Uniparty donor class and their little minions in the media and within the Republican party.

He was the candidate of WE THE PEOPLE did not win that battle. However, we are Americans. We are tough-minded and hard to get rid of. We dust ourselves off, learn our lessons, and come back with greater clarity, vision, and resolve. The founding fathers (and future generations)  are counting on us to not let the Globalists and Communists have our nation.  This is neither hyperbole nor a falsehood to state it this way.

I feel honored to have this be the first interview that my guest has granted after an extended period of rest, renewal, and retrospection following his 2024 gubernatorial race.  We caught up with him to talk about all the things we care about: God, family, the American way, and serving our nation.

We also talk about the aftermath of his 2024 gubernatorial candidacy, his re-emergence in his Christian faith and the documents of the Founding Fathers. We talk about how America is a nation blessed by God and how we have, to our detriment, outsourced our authority to govern ourselves and what we can do to fix this and start to move the needle in the favor of WE THE PEOPLE.

Let’s get to our sponsor and our interview with proud American Semi Bird. Enjoy the conversation.

E331: Basecamp Classic

E331 Introduction

Hello Basecampers, I hope you are all doing well. Before we get to our epiosode, I want to give you a short update on my health as I sort of dropped the bomb on all of you a couple of episodes back with Lisa.

Just finished my 4th round of chemotherapy for non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the treatment and my alternative remedies are working brilliantly together. I am in good health, good spirits, and am incredibly grateful and optimistic about things right now. Some of you reached out and I appreciate the warmth, love, support, and sentiment. I truly do so thank you.

Today’s episode is a Basecamp Classic but not because I don’t have a great interview in the hopper.  I do. It’s a part 2 with my new friend and former gubernatorial candidate Semi Bird. Semi and I get into the whole Marxist, communist, Globalist control dynamic as it vies for supremacy with the American values of freedom, natural law aka God’s law, Constitutional protection from all this collectivist overreach and what it all means for our future.

The Basecamp Classic I chose is a solo episode I did all the way back in Season Four titled E136: Rezac v Marx. I think it acts a a great lead-in to our talk with Semi. And sorry about some of the cussing in my solo rant. I am trying to tone that down a bit but I still have a tendency to drop in colorful expletives from time to time. I’m workin on it Basecampers!

Anyway, I hope you like this replay of Rezac v. Marx. Enjoy!
