E8: Balancing Optimism with Discernment with Special Guest Janell Hartman

E8 Introduction

Hello listeners and thank you for tuning into The American Pulse.

There has never been, in my lifetime, a more polarizing character than President Trump. There are those that love him, those that hate him, and lots people that stand in between.

I saw a recent poll (I can’t remember who conducted it) that said that 90 percent of Republicans agree with the direction the administration is taking us and 4 percent of Democrats approve of the direction.

There has never been a more stark divide of WE THE PEOPLE. I hear and see plenty of evidence in and around Seattle of how scared the left is. I don’t listen to much leftist media anymore but by chance I was listening to one of Steve Bannon‘s podcast episode to get his take a something and he always plays a few minutes of what Rachel Maddow and CNN and MSNBC are saying. You can hear how much fear they are drumming up in their dwindling viewership. Everything they say is a black pill meant to create fear, aversion, loathing, and distrust in those that are ingesting this stuff.

Who wants to feel that terrible all the time? Why would you? Trust me, there’s a better way.We are all going through these changes together and I don’t know about you but I am attracted to the path that is visionary and uplifting and gives us a roadmap of a higher plane that all Americans aspire to, regardless of politics.

These are the times that call us to be more courageous. To let in inputs and information that we have been told to fear. It is, as I have mentioned many times, a COLLECTIVE Hero’s Journey. I wish you Godspeed.

My guest today is a dear friend, podcaster, and an independent thinker who has been watching this narrative war as closely as I have. Enjoy the interview.

E7: Our Neighbors Awaken

E7 Introduction

Hello listeners and welcome to The American Pulse. It is great to have you here with us today. Today is a short little episode with our sponsor, a short piece of news and a song! We are early in our creative process with The American Pulse and trying some different ways of delivering something valuable to you. Knowing that we are all bombarded with content. We are hoping to find something that is short but impactful. Let’s get right to it with a word from our sponsor and this short offering.

There is a local story here that I wanted to share with you along with some of my thoughts on it.

There was a local Democrat leader Jessica Roberts, a transgender woman (meaning, of course a man posing as a woman), who was unanimously elected to the local Lynnwood city council. Well, they didn’t do their due diligence very well as it quickly emerged that Jessica had some dark fantasies that she posted on Reddit. What were they? She graphically describes fantasies of killing and dismembering women and also of eating children while people watch. Yes you heard that right.

Why am I telling you this. For all of the independents and Democrats who have finally had enough.

As a fairly new Republican myself, I want to welcome you with respect and appreciation of your courage for we know how difficult it can be to break away from the herd. Many of us did the same thing. It’s truly a Hero’s Journey and we honor wherever you are on your awakening.

To finish, here is a song of optimism for those that have had enough of the madness. This song harkens back to my own journey. When I looked around at the insane ideas that we being foisted up us and made a choice to reach for a more positive and uplifting narrative.

If you like the song, go download Wake Me Up by Avicii on I-Tunes. And we thank you for tuning into The American Pulse.

E6: Finding Our Way  w Special Guest Dr. Michael Karbowski

E6 Introduction

Hello listeners and welcome to The American Pulse.

Want to know what DOGE is doing and why?

Senator Elizabeth Warren is a good example of why. She has a salary of $285,000 and a net worth of (drum roll please) 67 Million dollars! Yep, you heard that right. Now, I have been an equity investor for 25 years. I have yet to see any stock market investor that can turn that sort of salary into such an outsized net worth. Not legitimately anyways. It’s really not possible unless you are grifting some how. And this sort of things is not just her but for many in congress.

A listener sent me an interesting meme that I wanted to share with you. This really goes out to liberals who have been abandoned by their own party and perhaps to centrists who only read The Seattle Times (which, of course , is full of anti-Trump sentiment).

It’s from Laser on X who says;

Hating Trump is just going along with the conformist herd. It’s an easy, low risk /low return position. Appreciating Trump’s leadership means sticking your neck out there, standing for something. “

On this show, we can appreciate this sentiment and still keep the meta narrative on this show w that we are all Americans, as you will hear from my guest today, a retired medical doctor. Enjoy the interview!

Dr. Karbowski Bio

My guest today is American Dr. Michael Karbowski. Dr. Karbowski is a retired anesthesiologist and former head of the anesthesiology dept at Group Health here in Redmond. Michael is involved at a grassroots level as a PCO here in LD 36. Here is my interview w Dr. Michael Karbowski.

E5: American Education w Special Guest Jolie Lansdowne

E5 Introduction

Today’s topic is one of my favorites: the state of American education or lack thereof. Before we get to our interview, which is the 2nd half of our short interview with King Co Chairwoman Jolie Lansdowne, you will here us fade into that discussion as we already aired the first part of this in Episode #2.

I thought it was perfect to read a couple of quotes from one of my favorite writers in Education reform, the 2 x NYC Teacher of the Year and author, the legendary John Taylor Gatto. A teacher as beloved by his students as any you will ever see.

“I‘ve noticed a fascinating phenomenon in my thirty years of teaching: schools and schooling are increasingly irrelevant to the great enterprises of the planet. No one believes anymore that scientists are trained in science classes or politicians in civics classes or poets in English classes. The truth is that schools don’t really teach anything except how to obey orders. This is a great mystery to me because thousands of humane, caring people work in schools as teachers and aides and administrators, but the abstract logic of the institution overwhelms their individual contributions. Although teachers to care and do work very, very hard, the institution is psychopathic — it has no conscience. It rings a bell and the young man in the middle of writing a poem must close his notebook and move to a different cell where he must memorize that humans and monkeys derive from a common ancestor.”

And this one: “Whatever an education is, it should make you a unique individual, not a conformist; it should furnish you with an original spirit with which to tackle the big challenges; it should allow you to find values which will be your roadmap through life; it should make you spiritually rich, a person who loves whatever you are doing, wherever you are, whomever you are with; it should teach you what is important, how to live and how to die.”

I will be doing a deeper dive on Education and our future on this show in the near future. For now, let‘s go get our guest’s thoughts and insights on this important topic.

Jolie Lansdowne Bio

My guest today is Jolie Lansdowne. Jolie was elected and serves as the King County GOP Chairwoman. Jolie is a a wife and mother (who homeschooled kids for 20 years), a local business owner, and a woman who believes that engagement in local government is one of the most effective ways we can impact positive change for our next generation. Here is my interview with Jolie Lansdowne.

E4: We are All Americans with Special Guest Roy Holman

E4 Introduction

Hello and welcome to the American Pulse. One of our aims on this show is to create inspiring, short-format content that you can listen to on the fly. Our take is that Americans are drawn to optimism and inspiration.

Right now, WE THE PEOPLE are energized. More and more of us are witnessing the truth of what our gov’t has been doing (or not doing) and seeing new possibilities that did not exist with the prior status quo. And when I say status quo, I mean until very recently that both parties have been entrenched, are you following me?

I believe we are close to a tipping point in this nation and in the world. Where more and more of us will realize just how corrupted our political structures have been, their allegiances to something or someone that does not have WE THE PEOPLE nor the Constitution of the United States Republic in mind.

But the tide has shifted, hasn’t it? And with the shifting tide, we need to shift with it. Do we still need the us vs them attitude? Are we still in an epic battle? Or has something changed and God is requiring something else right now from each and every one of us. I am presenting this to you as a question, not an answer. For I am in this monumental time in our country just the same as you. Looking for wisdom, doing our best to remain patient, forgiving others and asking for forgiveness.

Today’s guest is one of my best friends, Roy Holman. Enjoy the episode.
