E314: Growing Resilience with Special Guest Jeremy Stalnecker

E314: Introduction

Hello Basecampers, I hope you are all doing well. Today we have a bit of an audio snafu on my part. I am not sure what happened but my audio during this interview is not good. I must have had the wrong microphone selected as it does not sound like my mike at all. It sounds suspiciously like the laptop microphone to me. Oye vay! Well, things happen in life, which is one of the themes of both this interview and my guest’s book March or Die.

The audio of my guest sounds fantastic btw! So we got that going for us, which is nice. I still think you’ll find great value in today’s far ranging conversation and like I said, my guest is great.

We talk all about living in purpose, aligning with God, what can trip up men, and how to stay present in life. And running through the whole conversation (and a central pillar of his book) is the role of adversity as a teacher.

Enjoy the interview!

E314 Final Thoughts

Well I hope you enjoyed that conversation as much as I did. Sorry about the lame audio on my side, I will make sure we are good next week. Thanks for your patience Basecampers and we’ll see you around the fire next week.

E313: The Secrets of Water

E313 Introduction

Hello Basecampers, I hope you are all doing well. I have a slew of good interviews coming up, which will lead to a string of what would be considered standard Basecamp episodes. That is, my introduction, an interview, and a wrap-up. When I don’t have an interview to work with, I have two options. Either a Basecamp Classic replay of a top episode from seasons past or a Firestarter short-format episode.

Today is a Firestarter about a topic that has long-fascinated me and has come back on my radar recently and I wanted to share it with you. It is the work of Japanese researcher Dr. Masaru Emoto and his work with water. My sense is that many of you dear listeners do not know his work and have probably never read or seen any of his books. This episode is mainly about “check this guy out” more than anything else but, of course, I wanted to tell you a bit about it.

I remember getting The Hidden Messages in Water at a new age book store. I felt drawn towards it in many ways. Dr. Emoto’s work I would come to find out is simple and elegant but with profound transformative implications. I will do my best today to describe it in simple terms. Enjoy this Firestarter short-format episode!

E312: Messages from the One Mind with Special Guest Richard Barrett

E312 Introduction

One of the dynamics I have commented on over the years and had many conversations about is the evolution of how we receive information from the more subtle realms. From the One Mind, as my guests calls it. I have notice in myself and in many, many of my closest friends an acceleration and confidence in how they access the Divine, how they receive messages from God, is another way of saying it.

And when I was younger, I was always drawn to the mystics and the unique individuals who seemed to so easily transmit Divine messages. And then, lo and behold, everyone around me (present company included) started to pray, meditate, contemplate, and yes, channel insights and wisdom that seem to come from a different dimension. It seems it is happening to all of us.

As if God and the Divine are asking us to collectively and individually tune into the radio frequency that is God (however each one of us conceives that). God, Goddess, the Universe, the One Mind, Christ Consciousness and on and on. The thousand names that humans use for the Godhead.

The old maps no longer are guiding us. We are in a new chapter for all of us and the trail is faint. Good thing there is a flowering higher consciousness with direct access to God that seems to be organically growing in our people (our people being all of humanity). This may end up being one of our major themes for season #8. Enjoy the interview.

Richard Barrett Bio

My guest today is Richard Barrett. Richard is a prolific author, a thought leader in the area of consciousness studies, and the founder of the Barrett Academy, a London-based organization that seeks to provide evidence-based advice on the evolution of human consciousness. Here is my interview with Richard Barrett

E312 Final Thoughts-

Hope you enjoyed that interview as much as I did. I love watching how creative individuals get important messages to the People. Super inspiring. Thank you Basecampers and we’ll see you around the fire next week

E311: Basecamp Classic with Special Guest Benjamin Seaman

E311 Introduction

Hello Basecampers, I hope you are all doing well. Well, we are in between interviews and Firestarters this week. So I dusted off a re-listen of a Basecamp Classic. And this one is truly a Classic from all the way back in Season #1.

I thought since I was talking a bit about depression and how to move through it last week, you might appreciate this deeper dive from Season one with my old friend Benjamin Seaman, who happens to be a very successful NYC psychotherapist with some great insights around this topic.

Next week we are back to an interview and I have a number of good guests coming on along with a couple of good Firestarters that I am working on.

For now, enjoy this Basecamp Classic with Ben Seaman.
