E337: Stop Doing Sh*t You Don’t Want to Do with Special Guest author Dr. Bob Beare
E337 Introduction
Today’s interview is with a guest that I have had on four times now and he’s a great interview. I thought that his early episodes here on Basecamp WAY back in the day were top shelf. So much so that I turned one or two of them into Basecamp Classics (replay’s of our best content).
Full disclosure: my esteemed guest absolutely HATES Donald Trump. He says so himself. Which certainly reveals a certain mindset. I went back and forth as to whether or not to keep it in (the infamous TDS on full display). And I did keep it in.
As you know, I used to be a dye-hard liberal and, if I did not have my own transformation in this regards, would have certainly joined in the Trump bashing and, in fact, probably would have been a blabbermouth all along, right?
But I do not hate the President. Far from it. There are things he does on behalf of the country that my guest today and liberals will NEVER see. Because all the algorithms are fine-tuned to enrage the left in regards to President Trump, so that is what they get thrown. The algorithms know that I respect the President, so that is what I see.
I have never fully understood how the Left can continuously virtue signal tolerance all the while leading with such vitriol and hatred for one man. Like I shared in the interview, I don’t agree with everything the President does. Far from it. And his alliance with Israel is deeply unsettling to me and lots of other people around the world.
But there are many things he has done that I 100 percent agree on. Many of these things I have spoken about on this show and on my other show The American Pulse. I separate his ACTIONS from his STYLE of speaking and his social media posts. I try and separate DEEDS from EMOTIONS, are you following me? My question along those lines is: When will the Left stop obsessing over Donald Trump? Aren’t they tired of all the bitter complaining about a man they are so obviously projecting their shadow onto? Well, apparently not.
On a similar note, I am going to be attending an upcoming Braver Angels event and will be representing the right side of the political spectrum. Braver Angels bring together the left and the right to listen to one another. I’ll let you know if it is indeed a path to healing the nation. I am curious as to what I might learn and, if indeed, my viewpoints and values will be listen to and respected. We’ll see.
