E307 Introduction

I have been wanting to do an episode on loneliness for about a year now. Thankfully, I found just the right guest to help us navigate this important topic.

Loneliness is something that we all experience or will experience at some point in our lives but it has become a worldwide epidemic in 1st world countries where technology is most advanced. Isn’t that fascinating? Our convenient and favorite tech devices are at the center of this.

In May 2023, the US Surgeon General declared loneliness to be an epidemic, one that affects 1 out of 2 American adults. (wow)

“Loneliness has a way of creeping up on us unnoticed through a series of subconscious and tech-enabled habits that lead us to one day look around and think: where have all my friends gone? Why am I suddenly more of a loner than I ever set out to be? How did this happen?”

How many of you can relate to this? I know I can. Our phones (the adult version of the binkie) are our constant companions and, at first thought, they seem to provide us friendship, connection, and support. But is that REALLY true? How many people today (regardless of age, gender, or political orientation) are more comfortable swiping and commenting than they are striking up a conversation with someone or joining a group with the thought of making some new friends?

True friendship doesn‘t come from your interactions with your smart phone. They never have and I don’t think they ever will.

As we get older, loneliness can strike any of us but I think that men are a bit more vulnerable. Why? Well, so many men had important friendships at work and when they stopped working…..well it just became easier to live isolated than get our of their comfort zone and make new friends. Women of a certain age tend to do better at this they more naturally build community and are often involved in a whole slew of activities, no matter their age. God bless women.

And for men, I think there is a bit of shame involved in feeling lonely. As in you don’t want people to know because, as men, the last thing we want is people feeling sorry for us. But loneliness is nothing to be ashamed of. It is just the Soul‘s desire for meaningful human connection. Something we all crave and need. Human connection and friendships are like the sun. You don‘t need the sun all day every day but we all need SOME or we just don’t thrive.

Just like in seasons past, we will be taking a Holiday sabbatical from Basecamp. Today’s episode is really about optimism. It is something I think about quite often. I have referred to it as an American superpower and I truly believe that it is. And you can see the devastating impact this war on humanity and America has had by the lack of optimism we see in so many of our people (and especially) our young people.

It seems that part of the Globalist agenda is to demoralize us to the point that we lose hope that our shared future could once again be good and uplifting and beautiful.

If you are a naturally optimistic person, like I am and my guest today, this may be the most important timeline for you and this superpower of yours.

There are mythological powers that come with optimism and carrying the Light. And these powers are surrendered by you if you give up hope thinking that we are all alone or that we can’t win against this entrenched darkness. E301 Introduction

Hello Basecampers, I hope you are all doing well. Today is a Firestarter Episode. Firestarters were created years ago and they are basically a shorter format episode with just me. I sprinkle these in throughout each season to add variety and they give me the opportunity to stretch out some of my writing and thinking on a variety of topics.

As a proud member of team humanity, I have witnessed the devastating effects of the war of wars on our bodies, minds, and Souls.

When I drive around my city, Seattle, I see heartbreaking evidence of this war. Addiction, mental illness, homelessness, a sort of spiritual confusion as to what the hell just happened or IS happening.

And you can see the confusion in the masses as well. People still triggered by things that happened years ago or things that are not true at all. It is all a bit surreal, isn‘t it?

One of the things that I have noticed and commented on before is the uglification of everything we see around us. Have you noticed this all you city dwellers? It is in all our cities but most evident in the liberal run cities.

It is not just witnessing all the despair and addiction and mental illness. That is ugly and distressing in and of itself. It’s the filth and the garbage and feces and then there is the “new” architecture. Much of it is also ugly. City planners will happily tear down houses and buidings that are old and beautiful to make room for ugly structures that don’t inspire.

And then there is the ugliness in advertising. They used to try and put beautiful imagery in front of you to try and keep your attention. Now? They will put people and images meant to sort of shock you and shake your head. Super Bowl halftime shows, for instance. More and more Satanic imagery, blood red as the dominant color, weird Baphomet imagery, horns, the one-eye covered to show their allegiances to the Dark Lord.

What is the impact of all this ugliness? Well, what are you seeing? I think it is clearly meant to demoralize all of us, don’t you?

Think about the Renaissance for a minute. EVERYTHING was meant to inspire us and bring us closer to God. All the artists and creators clearly said so. So the architecture reached for the heavens. Look at the beautiful cathedrals and castles of Europe. Or the beautiful buildings and Grand Central Station in NYC.

Musicians like Mozart and Bach and Beethoven tried their best to express and awaken the God spark in each and every one of us. Shakespeare and poets did their part to remind us all of who we are.

Currently, we cannot confirm our immanent ascension and embrace of the Divine with what we see OUTSIDE of ourselves, in our surroundings. Are you following me? We can’t win by looking at what they are attempting to do to demoralize us. Our Divine power comes from within. Just as Christ himself said.

Sometimes I think of our Divinity, our alignment with God and Spirit as a sort of innocence. The War on Humanity has been an all out attempt to sever our belief and connection to God.

And it has been a war on children. Both children themselves and the inner child, full of innocence and wonder at the mystery of it all, that lives in each and every one of us.

I see a sacred duty for all of us here. To keep the Divine flame strong in ourselves AND to keep the innocence of the little boy and little girl that live in each and every one of us.

It does not mean that we act childish in all sorts of ways. Far from it. It means we are in touch with our Source and that we have something inside of us that we are sworn to protect. The Divine Child, who has been under constant assault by those that hate humanity.

The narrative war and cosmic chess game has many layers. Reality consisting of frequency and vibration and resonance. What is true for you may not be true for others. What is occurring resists easy dismissives. If reality and WE OURSELVES are multi-dimensional, then The great Cosmic Game becomes a individual AND collective Hero’s Journey for all.

How do YOU connect and align with what is most Divine, most Christ-inspired, most dignified and, indeed, most beautiful and innocent in YOU?

E299: What Keeps Us From One Another?

 

E299 Introduction

I love speaking with people who are a stand for humanity and children. And who carry truth and optimism about our future. There is a wonderful strength to these people that flies in the face of all the doom and gloom that we all hear.

Today, my guest and I range far and wide but one of the takeaways is the desire for unification in our country. Both sides have been traumatized by the divide. Family and long-time friend groups pulled apart by differences of opinion and the engine of social media that seems to know just how to trigger all of us.

One of the things I that came away with is my own desire to hear the other side. I think I have finally set aside my own hurt over having dear friends leave my orbit and I feel more steady now. Less reactive. And ready to serve more of humanity. Not just my fellow Conservatives. My guest and I share stories and a similar desire to start to heal what has ailed our fellow Americans, regardless of political orientation.
