E286: On Duty with Jerrod Sessler

E286 Introduction

I met my guest today at the recent King Co Lincoln Day Dinner and really wanted to bring him on Basecamp. He is one of the true leaders of the America First movement here in WA state. A successful entrepreneur who feels called to stand up and fight for American values.

Not because it’s easy or because he thinks DC is so awesome or because he thinks he’ll make a bunch of money. He doesn’t need to. No, he does it because like President Trump, he loves this country and what we stand for and because over a million Americans have died in the line of duty so that we and our children can continue to enjoy our liberties.

We are living in times where our liberties have been under siege by those with more Marxist and Communist and Globalist leanings. If good Americans don’t stand up and do their part, how do we win? A WE THE PEOPLE movement has to have PEOPLE in the movement, are you following me?

What is “doing your part?” Well, it might be stepping up to be a local PCO or LD Chair. It might mean learning about how school boards work so you can start to make a difference there. It might be simply donating what you can to those candidates that align with your values like my guest today, who is fighting for us all. It will take a village to turn this around. Won‘t you please consider joining us in whatever way feels right for you? Thank you Basecampers.

My interview today ranges from Trump and the fight for America, to dynamics in the Republican party, to being on duty vs. being on liberty, and even a question about classic cars! Enjoy the interview.

Jerrod Sessler Bio

My guest today is Jerrod Sessler. Jerrod is a father and husband, a Navy veteran and a Christian, a successful entrepreneur, a NASCAR driver and a candidate in the mid-term elections for Washington State’s 4th Congressional District. E286 Final Thoughts

Well I hope you enjoyed that conversation as much as I did. What a great candidate for Congress. He is exactly the kind of man I want representing us in DC. E19: How Humans Flourish w Special Guest Martin Barrett

E19 Introduction

Hello listeners and thank you for tuning in. I love this idea brought to me by my guest today of how do we flourish as humans? It is an idea that transcends political party and gamesmanship. And it begs a few questions. Are the societal and political structures that we strive within, are they allowing us to flourish or are they promoting other qualities. When we look around at our cities, do we see everyone flourishing? I don’t think anyone would truthfully say that we are, would they? And why is that? And what do we do about it?

There is a movement afoot from WE THE PEOPLE and my guest today truly exemplifies it. Sometimes with all the noise in the media and social landscape around what is happening in D.C. , we can lose focus on the things that are happening right down the street. Our communities need us in whatever small way we can serve and as many of us as possible.

If you are feeling called to make a small difference and you are here in KingCo, please reach out to us at www.kcgop.org. We want to hear from you. There are so many small ways that can help move the needle. We are doing this as a team. As WE THE PEOPLE.

Today’s interview is a good one and I would like to get right to it. Enjoy.

Martin Barrett Bio

My guest today is American Martin Barrett. Martin is a husband and father, a successful entrepreneur, a citizen journalist and the co-founder (along with his wife Beth) of the Burien News, who’s vision is to promote human flourishing through uplifting, truthful stories.

E19 Final Thoughts-

I hope you enjoyed that conversation as much as I did. If you are local here in the Seattle area, go subscribe to the Burien News. Power to the people.

Thank you for tuning in and we’ll see you next week on The American Pulse.

E285: Demystifying the Unknown w Special Guest Nancy du Tertre

E285 Introduction

One of the things that my closest friends and even some of my family know about me is my love of extraterrestrial myth and the evolution of human consciousness. For me, the two go hand in hand or to put another way, are different sides of the same cosmic coin.

I started looking into all this stuff when I was young: crop circles, Roswell, Galactic Federation, Secret Space Programs and all that this stuff entails. Patterns started to emerge.

I found others that could see the same sorts of things and could often communicate using telepathy and other psychic arts. I have never poo-poo’d any of the intuitive arts. I love mystics and creative types and intuitives and the psychically gifted too much. I have enormous respect for those that go the road less travelled to bring back something valuable for the village, are you following me.

With a natural love of myth Hero’s Journey and humanity, the extraterrestrial myths have followed me over the years, a constant companion, waiting for me to receive and share them. We are very much in this moment right now. In fact, I believe we are in the later innings of disclosure, (to use a metaphor from my favorite sport).

Today‘s conversation is far-reaching and meant to meet you where you are at on this topic. It is not looking for complete agreement or abandonment of your beliefs. It is simply looking to open your mind to truth that may be standing right before us, waiting.

Enjoy the interview.

E284: Recovery and the Hero’s Journey with Special Guest Kristy Stevens

E284 Introduction

One of my favorite sayings is that each chapter of your Hero‘s Journey will require a slightly different version of yourself. It is a saying with many layers, isn‘t it?

I was talking with my 18 y.o. son Lucas, who has taken a fairly cynical view of his future prospects. He doesn‘t think that there is any way he will ever be able to buy a house or get ahead. The hamster wheel perspective (totally justified btw, if not the most creative way to look at the future. ) But…..he’s really young, right?

And I was telling him that he is on Lucas Rezac version two or three right now. I am his father and I am on Tony Rezac 9.0 or 10.0. Getting ready for another version soon.

I went on to say that the way you see yourself and the world changes with each version. Sometimes subtly and sometimes quite drastically.

You can always tell when you are outgrowing the previous version of yourself. How? You may start to get tired of the same ole same ole routine you do. You find yourself annoyed at how you see and do things. You notice that shit ain’t working but you don’t yet have the next moves.

Oftentime, what is required is a LIGHTER version of yourself. And when I say lighter, I mean lighter in ego, lighter in the emotional/spiritual things that are weighing you down. Things like a lingering addiction or a victim mentality that no longer serves you or a habit that is completely running you around or maybe you keep telling yourself the same 2 or 3 disempowering stories about yourself and the world. You know, where the people around you know you are sort of lying to yourself and don’t know how to alert you, are you following me?

In many ways, you may not be fully aware that you have started a new version of yourself. It might feel like your just working through another mini-crisis, or you finally turned the corner on some part of life that you had been struggling with. Or maybe your friend circle looks a lot different like it does for me now. The friendship circle of Tony version 10.0 looks a lot different than the friend group of Tony in earlier version. This doesn’t mean you have to create new close friends, just that it may be required to successfully grow into what is needed from you.

Today’s guest is a wonderful example of growing into newer versions of yourself and travelling lighter on the road less travelled. I found her to be inspiring and charming. Enjoy the interview.

 Kristy Stevens Bio

My guest today is Kristy Stevens. Kristy is a mother, a former addict, and now a champion of recovery and helping young people find a better life path through her work with the Eastside Academy. Here is my interview with Kristy Stevens.

E284 Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed that conversation as much as I did. To find and support the great work that Eastside Academy is doing right here in Seattle, go to www.eastsideacamemy.org. Thank you Basecampers!

E18: The Education Conversation w Special Guest Chinmay Nagarkar

E18 Introduction

Hello listeners and thank you for tuning into the American Pulse. My guest today is a first-generation immigrant with a passion for education excellence for all of our children.

There is much debate these days (with all the corruption being exposed on the national level), of CAN we save the Dept of Education? Is it worth it? How do you correct course for a corrupt organization massive bureaucracy not to mention all the far left ideology that have replaced any real scholarship or deep learning for the kids. The Dept of Education has, to use political jargon, been captured.

Should the Dept of Ed be abolished? I have my thoughts on the matter as I watch countless homeschooled kids do miles better in their intellectual development than the public school kids. But we can‘t just abandon all of the kids that are in the system. It doesn’t seem right, does it? My guest today doesn‘t feel right about it either which is one of the reasons he is running for a local school board. Even though his kids are not in the system, he has still raised his hand to be a leader. I love this and it exemplifies the grassroots approach that we celebrate here on the Pulse.

I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with this wise American. He has some great ideas about how can we can improve education in our great nation. Enjoy the interview.

Chinmay Nagarkar Bio

E18 Final Thoughts-

If you want to research and support Chinmay in his run for Issaquah school district, go to www.votechinmay.org. I certainly will be following and supporting him in any way that I can. Thank you for tuning in and we‘ll see you next week on The American Pulse.
