E21: We Build This Together w Special Guest Jolie Lansdowne

E21 Introduction

For any sort of meaningful, long-lasting change to occur (and this is true for people as well as oranizations) what is generally required is vision and a sense of what is possible, action towards that vision, and patience and faith. Change is not often instantaneous.

With something as unwieldy as politics, all of this is doubly so. We cast our vision, enroll others in our inspired vision, roll up our sleeves, and then make adjustments.

All of this is akin to gardening or working out for optimal health or spending time at the dojo, honing our craft. And like spending time at the dojo, our efforts are amplified and supported by those training side-by-side with us.

Which brings us to today’s guest, another fine chat with our leader KCGOP Chairwoman Jolie Lansdowne. Enjoy the interview!

E286: On Duty with Jerrod Sessler

E286 Introduction

I met my guest today at the recent King Co Lincoln Day Dinner and really wanted to bring him on Basecamp. He is one of the true leaders of the America First movement here in WA state. A successful entrepreneur who feels called to stand up and fight for American values.

Not because it’s easy or because he thinks DC is so awesome or because he thinks he’ll make a bunch of money. He doesn’t need to. No, he does it because like President Trump, he loves this country and what we stand for and because over a million Americans have died in the line of duty so that we and our children can continue to enjoy our liberties.

We are living in times where our liberties have been under siege by those with more Marxist and Communist and Globalist leanings. If good Americans don’t stand up and do their part, how do we win? A WE THE PEOPLE movement has to have PEOPLE in the movement, are you following me?

What is “doing your part?” Well, it might be stepping up to be a local PCO or LD Chair. It might mean learning about how school boards work so you can start to make a difference there. It might be simply donating what you can to those candidates that align with your values like my guest today, who is fighting for us all. It will take a village to turn this around. Won‘t you please consider joining us in whatever way feels right for you? Thank you Basecampers.

My interview today ranges from Trump and the fight for America, to dynamics in the Republican party, to being on duty vs. being on liberty, and even a question about classic cars! Enjoy the interview.

Jerrod Sessler Bio

My guest today is Jerrod Sessler. Jerrod is a father and husband, a Navy veteran and a Christian, a successful entrepreneur, a NASCAR driver and a candidate in the mid-term elections for Washington State’s 4th Congressional District. Oh, and he is wholeheartedly endorsed by President Trump. Here is my interview with Jerrod Sessler.

E286 Final Thoughts

Well I hope you enjoyed that conversation as much as I did. What a great candidate for Congress. He is exactly the kind of man I want representing us in DC. You can find out more and support Jerrod’s run at www.jerrodforcongress.com. Thank you Basecampers and we’ll see you around the fire next week.

E19: How Humans Flourish w Special Guest Martin Barrett

E19 Introduction

Hello listeners and thank you for tuning in. I love this idea brought to me by my guest today of how do we flourish as humans? It is an idea that transcends political party and gamesmanship. And it begs a few questions. Are the societal and political structures that we strive within, are they allowing us to flourish or are they promoting other qualities. When we look around at our cities, do we see everyone flourishing? I don’t think anyone would truthfully say that we are, would they? And why is that? And what do we do about it?

There is a movement afoot from WE THE PEOPLE and my guest today truly exemplifies it. Sometimes with all the noise in the media and social landscape around what is happening in D.C. , we can lose focus on the things that are happening right down the street. Our communities need us in whatever small way we can serve and as many of us as possible.

If you are feeling called to make a small difference and you are here in KingCo, please reach out to us at www.kcgop.org. We want to hear from you. There are so many small ways that can help move the needle. We are doing this as a team. As WE THE PEOPLE.

Today’s interview is a good one and I would like to get right to it. Enjoy.

Martin Barrett Bio

My guest today is American Martin Barrett. Martin is a husband and father, a successful entrepreneur, a citizen journalist and the co-founder (along with his wife Beth) of the Burien News, who’s vision is to promote human flourishing through uplifting, truthful stories.

E19 Final Thoughts-

I hope you enjoyed that conversation as much as I did. If you are local here in the Seattle area, go subscribe to the Burien News. Martin and his team are living examples of the old axiom Think Globally, Act Locally and very much in alignment with the grassroots movement that is happening here at the King Co GOP and all over this great nation. Power to the people.

Thank you for tuning in and we’ll see you next week on The American Pulse.

E16: Creating Unity from Conflict w Special Guest Jolie Lansdowne

E16 Introduction

For those that haven’t heard, Seattle recently had a clash of cultures and activism when the Christian group “Don’t Mess with Our Kids” was exercising their Constitutional right to free speech and assembly and was confronted by two groups, the LGBTQ community and Antifa, a group bent on disruption, violence and rioting.

The police were once again caught in the middle. Doing their best to keep order and give the Christian group a space to assemble without being bullied or shouted at our having things thrown at them.

Did the Seattle Times respond with even-handed skillful journalism? Ha! Of course they did not, referring to the Christian group as “fascist family values”. Who has time for all this inaccurate name calling? Isn’t everyone in Seattle and throughout our nation tired of the lies and deception of the status quo and ready for dialogue and unity and common ground?

I think so and so does my guest today. Jolie Lansdowne is our Chairwoman of the KGGOP and a woman who leads with vision, heart, and wisdom. All qualities that people from all walks of life and along the entire political spectrum are more than ready for, in my humble opinion. Enjoy the interview!

E9: Cracks in the System

E9 Introduction

Hello listeners and thank you for tuning into The American Pulse. It is SO INTERESTING to watch Americans respond to the great revealing, isn’t it. The Trump supporters are watching and celebrating. A wrecking ball being swung at a decrepit, self-serving bureaucracy that has fed on and stolen resources from WE THE PEOPLE. And it appears to just be the beginning.

Centrists….well, they may privately cheer at some of the new transparency but they are cautious. Rightfully so. We are in new territory right now and a cautious, head-on-a-swivel attitude is understandable.

Then you have the left. They have resorted to vandalizing private property to make a point as countless reports come in of people spray painting other people’s Tesla’s. Huh? What is the point of this besides showing early stage dementia?

I saw a liberal on Facebook long rant about how damaging other people’s cars is a sound move. The ironic part? The vast majority of Tesla owners are liberals as they bought to show their support of their climate narrative. So liberals are vandalizing liberals cars to protest what Elon Musk is doing! Um, ok.

From Jeffrey Tucker who says “Still people don’t understand entirely what has happened. The party now in control of the US executive branch is a 3rd party build out of the corpses of two prevailing parties.

It goes by the name Republican but that is nearly a historical accident. Nearly all the top people are refugees from the Democrat party and were never welcomed and even hated by the legacy establishment of the Republicans.

So far, there is every indication of the intention to dismantle government as we’ve known it for a century or more. I consider that a good thing in general.”

And one from John Rich, who says “I believe DOGE is tip toeing through the fraud incrementally. They are starting with the ridiculous stuff, so Americans can become aware of the situation and digest it piece by piece. But what lies at the end stages of the discover, will probably rattle us all to the core.”

AHO! Let’s get to our interview with American Janet Bartlett.

Janet Bartlett Bio

Janet is a CPA with extensive experience in corporate leadership.  She became interested in the political scene through the WA voter research project and currently is serving as the treasurer of the KCGOP.
