E295: America, We Can Clear the Skies with Special Guest

Mark Herr

E295 Introduction

Well, we were all set for this interview and, as fate would have it, we had some tech difficulties (from my end) and had to postpone. And in the meantime, our beloved brother Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Murdered in front of his wife and young daughters.

To me, Charlie represented so many wonderful American attributes. He was unbelievably courageous, he inspired and led others, he was a Christian who wore his faith on his sleeve. And he LOVED America!

He loved all of it and could articulate this love with a wonderful blend of articulation, spirit, and humor. He was a stand for an America that could debate our differences. Where BOTH sides were heard and seen. It would be easy for the left to simply demonize him and call him names. This reflexive approach misses the larger context that Charlie and his legacy are pointing to. Something my guest eloquently expresses.

America is hurting right now. By ALL accounts. Everyone can sense that the nation has entered into a new phase. What will w all choose? What will you choose?

Like all entrenched conflicts, the nation is holding a collective trauma. That we have been disconnected and disregard by our fellow brothers and sisters. By our fellow AMERICANS. Nothing has seemed to heal this divide and now we have lost one of your bravest and brightest.

There is something about the episode today and my guest that stirred something in me. A missing piece that I personally have not been able to quite put my finger on.

See if you can see yourselves in today’s conversation. And I join you in prayer that America will do her work to clear the skies for ourselves, our children, and future generations. Enjoy the conversation.

E13: Courageous Living and TPUSA w Special Guest Rachel Anderson

E13 Introduction

Of all the virtues that Americans possess, I would have to say that my two favorites are love of freedom and courage. I absolutely love courageous people and I always have. I have learned so much and fortified my own courageous path by those that have shown me the way. Courage begets courage, as the saying goes.

As Americans, whether we regularly voice it or not, are expected by the world, to be wayshowers on the paths of both freedom and courage for those traits are interrelated.

It is where the left and right in our country differ. The left has been fused with a Collectivist mindset. A Marxist expression where asserting your own values and principles is seen as threatening to the hive mind of the now radical left. Everything is seen as an existential threat to the Woke mindset- a disagreement, an assertion of independence and sovereignty, and certainly any act of courage is viewed as selfish and foreign to those that conform to the collectivist narrative that is handed to them and constantly reinforced.

It is a bit ironic that one of the gifts that the far left has given libertarians and conservatives these past few years is the gift of activating our courage and convictions. For example, there was no way we were going to just go along with the insane transgender ideology (pretending that biological men are women) or go along with putting authorities over parents in the care of children. Nope. We will never go along with that. Ever. Many of us libertarians just want to be left alone but we have not been left alone. So now everyone has to deal with an awakened conservative base. It’s a beautiful thing, in my eyes. A true Hero’s Journey for all of us.

Yet, it requires people standing and modeling courage, like my guest today. A young woman who exemplifies living a courageous life. Enjoy the interview.
