E280: The Circle of Men with Special Guest Jimmie Allen

E280 Introduction

As many of you know, this show was originally conceived years ago as a show to assist men in their personal development and living in a more authentic and courageous fashion. Front and center to my philosophy is the central and essential role of men’s groups and retreats to awaken and accelerate the Hero on his most authentic path.

The benefits of this approach for men has yielded some of the best men that I know and I know a lot of men. The truth is that men (and women) admire men who live with a lot of heart. For to live with a lot of heart means you need to peel back some of the shadow and trauma and armor that has kept the heart from leading the man.

I have seen this so many times in men’s retreats and circles. It can seem daunting at first to the uninitiated. The good news? You aren’t in it alone. In fact, you absolutely need other men in your corner, fighting for you and modeling truth and authenticity where there was previously denial and repression.

The whole thing takes on a sort of mythical theme as we witness one another build skills that will take us to new heights as men. Some of these skills like greater emotional intelligence and clarity of purpose, act almost like super-powers for men as you do the work.

You find that your ego attachment starts to loosen as you let go of patterns that no longer serve your higher purpose, cooperation with the male tribe begins to replace reflexive competitiveness, you start to stand a little taller as you realize that all of us men share common themes and common wounds.

Let’s go talk about all this and more with my friend Jimmie, who is putting together a great retreat and I have the honor to co-create and co-lead. Enjoy the episode.

E280 Final Thoughts

Hope you enjoyed listening in on a couple of friends talking about men and masculinity. Come join us at the Duckabush Men’s Retreat on July 25th, 26th, and 27th. I promise you that will come out of it feeling blessed and better connected to yourself and to the men all around you. You can reach out to Jimmie or myself to get yourself registered. Jimmie mentioned his website at jallenedeavors.com and my best email for this would be tonyrezac05@gmail.com. Either will do the trick.

E204: Basecamp Classics

E204 Introduction

Man, did I get knocked for a loop this past week. I ended up getting Shingles. I still have it really bad actually and it put a stop to the Basecamp flow here. I could see Tuesday coming up and I had no interview, no ideas that were coming up, just me trying deal with this excruciating pain all day long.

I was talking to Lisa this morning about what is going on in the world. Part of the fog that people are experiencing is that we are in the middle of world war 3. It‘s just that war has evolved with our technology and the big guns now are psy-ops and propaganda, control of the narrative for the enemy’s purposes, bioweapons in the form of so-called “vaccines” and weather modification that is doing God knows what to our health and our DNA. We are a tribe of people, humanity that is, that has been kept in the dark as to what has happened here, who we really are, in terms of our own divinity and place in the Cosmos, and what our adversary is trying to do with us.

I tried to pick a Basecamp Classic today that aligns with these themes. It is probably not a perfect fit but hey, I have a torso full of open blisters so , honestly let’s just do the best we can!

Looking ahead, I have a couple of good interviews coming up with Mark Jeftovic and Dr. Jeanette Daneals. And it is looking like the Secret Space Program episode, which has been the most daunting of topics for me to present to you, will likely be the season finale.

Oh for those of you that don‘t know, I have become fond of taking a break during the Thanksgiving and Christmas time frame. Usually 6 weeks off or so to recharge, see family, and not have podcast deadlines to navigate. But don’t worry, we aren’t there yet. We‘re still chugging along season five.

Today‘s Basecamp Classic features my trusted friend, Roy Holman. It is always good to sit around the fire with him with his wisdom and calm demeanor and love of humanity. This one is from E106 all the way back from fall of 2021. But it holds up I think as Roy and I talk about the underlying dynamics and where we are at in humanity’s awakening. Enjoy the episode.

E199: The Lone Wolf Syndrome w Special Guest Tony Endelman

E199 Introduction

Today‘s episode is a bit of a throwback episode for us. In a good way. As many of you know, Basecamp for Men was conceived and started as a resource show for men’s personal development. The power of men‘s groups and a positive, authentic masculinity was the medicine I was called to bring forth from all of my years leading and participating in men‘s groups. It has defined my life and I am full of gratitude for the men I have followed and led in this work.

My friend Dave recently sent me a new book about Dr. Robert Glover. Dr. Glover is the author of the classic men’s book No More Mr. Nice Guy. I dug in and recognized that the authors and I had similar stories and wounds but with different paths up the mountain so to speak.

Men have always been more powerfully who they are when they can speak authentically with other men. This is a rare thing, as you will hear in this episode.

I think all men carry this sort of lone wolf syndrome. We think we can do the work, grow ourselves up into the men we want to be, heal our childhood traumas (that we all have), and become strong, confident partners and fathers. And do all of this with absolutely no support! It is delusional.

As the Mankind Project has said over and over again, it takes a tribe of men to grow men. For only other men know intimately the shame, hurt, violence, and shadow that are hidden deep inside of a man‘s heart and soul. The astoundingly wonderful secret for men: the more you can speak from your depths without flinching, the more light that can come into your heart and your life.

And men are great at hiding. We hide our hurt and our addictions and our hopes and fears. We hide our shame and our heartbrokenness and feelings of inadequacy. Fuck we try and hide it all because we think that if you knew who I really am and how I really felt (especially when I feel small) you will desert me. So we just go it alone. Are you following me?

Today’s conversation is hopefully like sitting in a good men’s group. As my guest, himself a veteran of these emotionally honest expressions, brings the truth about what it means to be a man. I hope you see yourself in our sharing. Enjoy the interview.

Tony Endelman Bio

Tony Endelman is an author, popular self-help blogger, and certified transformational life coach. Additionally, he is one of Dr. Robert Glover’s elite certified No More Mr. Nice Guy coaches. Tony’s recently released book, THE BIG STICK: Collected & Applied Wisdom from the Teachings of Dr. Robert Glover encapsulates 40 years of wisdom put forth by Dr. Glover.  Here is my interview with Tony Endelman.

E199 Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed our conversation as much as I did. Love Tony and his message for men. And go get a copy of the excellent new men’s book The Big Stick where Tony distills Dr. Glover‘s wisdom down into what you need to know as a man. Thank you Basecampers and we’ll see you around the fire next week.

E179: Firestarters and Memes

E179 Introduction

Today we have a short format Firestarter for your enjoyment. We have a number of interesting interviews coming up including one with a renowned climatologist who is going to help us make sense of what exactly is going on there.

How are you all holding up? I did a recent podcast episode with Roy Holman from Truthful Warrior podcast. I can include that in the episode notes if you would like to click on that for a longer listen this week. Roy and I talk about keeping your optimism during an information war, among other things. I really like Roy’s unassuming but insightful and truthful style. We see eye to eye on so many things.

I have some memes and a short clip from Bill Maher. Just 14 minutes of content today.

Let’s kick it off with some memes that I have collected in the recent days and weeks.

The Democrat party is America’s ex-wife.”

Jason Andrews

And Edward Snowden says “The whole system revolves around the idea that the majority can be made to believe anything, so long as it is repeated loudly and often. And it works.” Yes it does Ed, yes it does.

And a clip from Bill Maher, who in my opinion, is red-pilling the shit out of the left. Who have come to rely on him for years to skewer conservatives and their viewpoints. And now find themselves at the receiving end of the sword. Yes, there is some sweetness to this.

If you would like to hear my interview with the always interesting Roy Holman, go to this link and his podcast Truthful Warrior.

E179 Final Thoughts

We’ll get to the climate crisis soon. That is it for today Basecampers. Keep preparing yourself for the next chapters of your Hero’s Journey. Choose truth. Choose courage. Choose love. And never forget, that humans are an amazing tribe, never more so than when we have each others backs. See you around the fire next week Warriors.

E163: Truth with Compassion with Special Guest

Roy Holman

E163 Introduction

Hello Basecampers. We are winding down season number four but today will be the second to the last instead of the last episode of season four. I am working on a project with Corey (my website guy) to categorize all the episodes so that you and future listeners can easily find what types of episodes they are looking for. So next week will likely be a combination of just me and perhaps a short Basecamp Classic, depending on my creative output.

Today’s episode is a good one I think with my good friend Roy Holman. Roy and I have had similar walkaway journeys. I count him as a trusted friend and fellow truth warrior. When you take this Hero’s Journey and let go of so many ideas and people (like Roy and I and others have) that were part of your earlier chapters, you bring a deep appreciation and gratitude to your newfound friends and travel-companions.

Being singled out as domestic terrorists and a blight to society for standing for personal freedom tends to bond people who are excommunicated from the herd. As you all know by now, I have a deep respect for the brave men and women who stand for truth and freedom. Thank you Basecampers and enjoy today’s episode.
