E127: Up the Mountain with Special Guest Chris Pallis

E127 Introduction

One of our topics on Basecamp is Consciousness, spiritual awakening and inner knowing. These are really the same topic and it is near and dear to me as a Seeker of Truth. If we are all heading towards the same mountaintop, then showing the various ways we move out of our respective “basecamps” can have a unifying and inspiring effect.

There is no one road that is right for each one of us. Yet in our own unique ways, how we choose to live impacts the collective way up. As people find love and light and how to better serve these foundational principles, our strength is fortified. We are, in cosmic terms, a legendary race of beings.

We seem to be on the verge of something. Something that is reflected in both the inner and the outer world. There is an interconnectedness and Truth that is looking for you. It may look like you have been adrift yet here you find yourself…..at the brink of your own spiritual awakening and deep understanding of our place in the cosmos.

Wisdom is your native language. Maybe you have not been in the habit of exploring your inner depths and what you understand but there it is. Your birthright as a human.

We have stated it before and I will say it again. Spiritual awakening is a group effort. We all get there when we all get there and when we get there is NOW. We are an evolving, interconnected, emerging tribe of people that are just now realizing what this is all about.

Metaphorically, people are gathering around the fire to hear the myths and truths that will set us free.

E83: Fireside Chat with Howard Ferguson

E83 Introduction-

As a show that is assisting in the awakening of humanity and attempting to do our part using myth, Gnosis or spiritual knowing, and an unflinching stand for what is true I see roughly three groups right now. There is the group that is having one epiphany after another, this is the group that are the meditators, truthers, , the seers and the Gnostics.  This group is excited. For these are the early adopters in this huge shift in consciousness. They are seeing more and more of the pattern.

There is a middle group where things have begun to stir. They are sensing that things may not be what they thought and perhaps the MSM is not telling them the truth about what is happening.

Maybe they took one or two of the red pills and things are shifting.  Or some of what we are talking about mythically is starting to resonate with them. Things are expanding for this group but cognitive dissonance may still be the order of the day as they try to discern the pattern that is emerging. This group is neither early adopters nor the laggards. This group is starting to right-size the ego and so not be as entrenched in their old ways of seeing and categorizing reality. They are starting to sense that we are at a tipping point and that THEY might have something to do with the outcome.

The final group does not appear to be stirring nor awakening and that is fine as well. They are perhaps too entrenched or invested in the old reality. They seem to believe that anyone  that does not think and talk as they do are crazy.

For this group there does not seem to be enough inner resources to either right-size the ego nor prepare themselves for the massive amount of information that will need to be downloaded and integrated into our tribe in the coming weeks and months.

I know a lot of people in each of these three groups: friends and former friends, collegues, family members, people I know in the community. I am fine with whatever group you find yourself in although my sense of the third group is that nobody is going to put themselves in that final group. The ego won’t allow it. Such is the way of things. My focus is on helping those that are showing the unmistakable spark to find some footing and participate in a growing tribe during these strange shifting sands we find ourselves on.

What follows is another red-pill episode.  Part of a series of episodes we have done and will do sprinkled throughout season three. Think of it as two friends sitting around the fire talking about the pattern they are seeing right now.

And make no mistake, these red-pill episodes are for the middle group, the one that is starting to make sense of things. If we can help fill in the picture a bit more clearly or you take something you heard and investigate it for yourself, then Howard and I will have succeeded.

Whether you confirm our findings as true or not is not really the point. Not ultimately anyways.  Your honest inquiry and ability to throw aside the mainstream media’s disinformation campaign and propaganda and discern for yourself is what will further your awakening. I wish you Godspeed listeners. We are, as they say, at the precipice.

Howard Ferguson Bio-

My guest today is a friend, entrepreneur, restaurateur, and fellow seeker of Truth. Howard Ferguson is a man known as straight shooter, a truth teller, and someone who is able to integrate new information and form it into a collective vision of what is happening and where we might be going.

Here is my interview with Howard Ferguson.

E83 Final Thoughts-

I hope you enjoyed my conversation with Howard Ferguson.  One resource that both Howard and I love is the writing of Martin Geddes. Martin is really good at giving you a birds-eye view on much of this stuff. I highly recommend you check out his latest book Open Your Mind to Change: The Guidebook to The Great Awakening.

The website is at www.openmindschange.com. I promise you that you will pull a bunch of things out of there that you weren’t aware of. I also promise you that you will feel more optimistic and more empowered about what is unfolding than you did before you picked up the book.

E52: Psychedelics and the New Vision

E52: Introduction

Growing up on the west coast, the lore of the 1960’s free-thinking hippie/peace movement was something that was part of our heritage. Within this culture, psychedelics always had a strange, mysterious, and transformative power. An elixir that had the ability to throw open the doors of perception, revealing a sacred, divinely infused electromagnetic field that we are in constant communication with.

The lineage of these psychedelic explorers carried forth into the rave and music culture of the 80’s and 90’s and today is kept alive by festivals like Burning Man. Whatever your take is on this controversial topic, psychedelics seems to be an important part of our mythical Tree of Knowledge.

Tales of seeing the face of God or the Goddess abound. Scores of courageous people have had profound experiences that changed the course of their lives. What these intrepid psychic explorers seemed to discover was a portal in consciousness. A DMT-primed access point that seemed to accelerate their understanding of the underlying design and meaning of the cosmos.

My guest today has built his podcast around profound discoveries made in sacred space, having participated in many ayuhuasca ceremonies with shamans in the Amazon. I am excited to dialogue with him about what he learned from what is commonly called plant medicine.

Alex is the host of the Natural Born Alchemist podcast. The podcast has been going since 2014 and features a wide array of guests. The theme of the podcast revolves around shamanism, psychedelics, philosophy and alternative ideas. www.naturalbornalchemist.com it is also available on Apple podcasts, Spotify and elsewhere.

Alex has had a life long interest in esoteric topics and his quest for meaning eventually led him to visiting many different indigenous groups around the world and discovering his main teacher in life: Ayahuasca

Here is my interview with Alex from Natural Born Alchemist.

E45: Free Yourself from Suffering with Special Guest Sophie McLean

E45 Introduction

There seems to be spiritual truths that are trying to find us, you and I. One prominent one is that the ego, or sense of separation, is the chief cause of much of our suffering. This is something that echoes down through the wisdom traditions, particularly from the east.

However, westerners are also awakening from the illusion of the ego. As my guest today so eloquently states, identification with the ego creates an illusory disconnect from Source, or from the Divine.

When you start to see the workings of the ego……..its strategies for keeping itself safe;  its incessant desire to be right and make others wrong; and it’s binary thinking where we draw boundaries between me and my side of the conflict as “the good guys”  and the others on the other side of the conflict or “the bad guys, the idiots, etc”. This is ego identification in action and the primary driver of much of our unhappiness.

Would you like to be truly happier? One sure path is to learn to investigate and dissolve the ego in service to something greater than yourself. See if you can stop trying to get everyone to believe and feel as you do. Let everyone have their particular truth.  Even if it doesn’t jive with your perspective. Try to give everyone space just as you want space to figure things out as well. We really don’t need to feel so distance from one another simply because we disagree about a few things.

Any narrative that has separation built into it is driven by the ego. It’s an easy litmus test. Can we, dear listeners, drop all “us vs. them” thinking? Can we stop polarizing whoever is over there? Can we awaken from the illusion of separation?

Sophie McLean Bio-
