E148: Learning to Fight with Special Guest Alex McShane

E148 Introduction

I have often thought that every man needs to know how to fight. To have been in a fight or two even. I know that isn’t very politically correct with all the snowflake prounouns and blah blah blah. But there you have it.

There is something a man learns about himself when he has been engaged in some sort of hand-to-hand combat. Whether that is through boxing, wrestling, martial arts, or good old-fashioned bar fight. And don’t get me wrong. I’m not preaching violence. It is just a man learns something of himself when he puts himself to the test. It’s empowering.

I often thought to myself throughout the whole Covid shenanigans “Where is the fight in men?”. Our Constitutional rights are being taken away (for example, no jab, no travel, no jab/no job here, wear your masks until some corrupt bureaucrat tells you its ok to take it off). I was stunned by the lack of fight I saw in men. Without a fighting spirit, we’re fuckin doomed.

America wasn’t formed as a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC because our founding fathers had no fight. Quite the contrary. Our nation is here because of the fight in its citizens and its soldiers. Covid was a test of this fighting spirit and I‘m not so sure we passed. At least not collectively. There will surely be new tests ahead of us where our courage and fight are again put to the test. My hope is that each person will do his or her part to stand for the principles that brought us here.

Today, I have the pleasure of speaking to an MMA fighter. Let’s go talk about training, fighting, and Bitcoin!

Alex McShane Bio-

Alex McShane is the Head of Multimedia / Programming at Bitcoin Magazine, and the CEO of McShane Capital. Alex also designs and sells shirts, shoes, and Bitcoin related art. In his free time, Alex enjoys practicing Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai, and MMA.

E148 Final Thoughts-

I hope you enjoyed our time with Alex McShane. You could see a difference in our mindsets around BTC. Where I am applying an old scarcity mindset where I never want to part with mine. Alex has evolved to find a more interesting way to engage and experience the BTC standard as a way of living. I have sent BTC to a number of friends but I look forward to joining Alex in a more fluid participation in the Bitcoin future.

Alex has some really cool t-shirts (I already ordered one) at the McShane Collection at www.lmtdsupply.com/pages/mcshane.

E146: The Bitcoin Conversation with Special Guest Gary Leland

E146 Introduction

I have been a bit smitten with Bitcoin the past couple of years, as you can probably tell. I want to continue to build our understanding of Bitcoin and what it means for humanity and our future. I believe that the future is very bright for us, and I believe that Bitcoin is a central component to this future. We have never seen anything like this asset class in the history of our people. The globalist controlled Central Banks (led by families like Rothchild, Rockefeller, etc. etc.) have controlled all aspects of money until the arrival of Bitcoin in 2009.

The widespread adoption of BTC is inevitable. My hope is that you come to see Bitcoin for what it is: an incredible gift that allows us to move into a future where money is neither scarce, losing value, or controlled by corrupt entities. To me, BTC is an accelerator in our evolution. One day, I believe good historians will write about the birth and widespread adoption of BTC. And future generations will wonder how we ever got along before its inception.

I love speaking with visionaries and futurists. And these tend to go hand-in-hand whenever the topic of Bitcoin is being discussed. My guest today is one such guest. A man who has been at the forefront of podcasting AND Bitcoin. Let’s go sit around the fire with him.

Gary Leland Bio-

My guest today is an entrepreneur, Bitcoiner, and has the distinction of being one of the first 100 podcasters in the world. Gary Leland is the co-founder Podcast Movement, the largest podcast conference on the planet. He currently invests in BTC and creates and hosts the podcast the Bitcoin Boomer Show. Here is my interview with Gary Leland.

E146 Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed our time with Gary Leland. You are going to start to see more retirement structures that focus in on BTC as the core holding.

Gary mentioned one that is Unchained Capital. You can invest your IRA or Roth IRA and buy BTC directly inside of those structures. Sounds like a great way to build wealth for your future. I will be looking at Unchained Capital as this fits in nicely with what I am doing .

You can find all this and a free consultation with Unchained Capital at www.unchained.com

E143: Bloody Markets and Bitcoin with Special Guest Mark Jeftovic

E143 Introduction

Hello listeners, a quick housekeeping thing. I am off next week so no episode. We will return full steam ahead on Tues July 5th. Have a great 4th of July Patriots.

I love talking to futurists and forward thinkers. Whether or not they are right 100 % of the time is beside the point. Engaging with these visionaries opens up our minds and creates possibilities that weren’t there prior.

The topic of bitcoin is one that is being talked about all over the world. What is it? What possibilities does it create for humanity? How do we navigate this transition with a clear head? How do we continue to create sovereignty and freedom….for ourselves, our loved ones, and for future generations.

It is a topic that has been front and center for me and I like to ride shotgun with people that can help frame the issues and make sense of things. My guest today is one such person. Enjoy the interview!

Mark Jeftovic Bio

Mark Jeftovic is an author, CEO of Easy DNS, career contrarian and anti-guru and one of the founding members of the band Parkdale Hookers. Love it. He is, in my opinion, offering a fresh take on our future and what is unfolding, particularly in the Crypto space. I caught up with Mark to talk about, well, all the stuff we love to talk about.. Here is my interview with Mark Jeftovic.

E143 Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed my conversation with Mark as much as I did. For domain hosting easy and fast, go to www.easyDNS.com and you can use the code basecamp as a discount. And you can pay for it in BTC. Thank you listeners, we’ll see you in two weeks.

E117: Cryptocurrency with Special Guest Erin Cobb

E117 Introduction

Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. This is THE watercooler talk all over the world right now. Can you sense that? Why has this topic become so relevant, seemingly overnight?

As a long-time equity investor, I have an active interest in markets and trends. That and I like to know what the hell is going on! So in late 2019 I bought my first cryptocurrency, dipping my toe in the water to the tune of a few hundred bucks.

I then continued to do more research. Then I dipped another toe into the waters. Then I did more research. And now I have my whole foot in. And I continue to do more research. We are all just learning about this new technology and new platform and how it will impact us.

With just 3% of Americans currently holding cryptocurrency, we are still very much in its infancy. I can see a not so distant future where that number will be 30% and growing.

My intention with this episode is to pique your interest and to perhaps break down some barriers to entry into this fascinating world. I thought if you could hear my guest and I share our journeys and how early it is for cryptocurrency and blockchain, that this will spur you to start to roll up your sleeves to do your research. And perhaps, when the time is right for you, to push a few chips onto the table and state ”I am in” for this new paradigm. Enjoy the episode.

Erin Cobb Bio-

I have been looking to do a first episode on cryptocurrency but I was waiting to find the right guest and I found him.

Erin Cobb is a friend, entrepreneur, and blockchain and cryptocurrency enthusiast and investor. He sat down with us to help us better understand this emerging paradigm that everyone seems to be talking about. Here is my interview with Erin Cobb.
