E162: Basecamp Classics

E162 Introduction

Hello Basecampers. Today is a Basecamp Classics day. We are nearing the end of season number four with next weeks interview, a good one to finish with, coming next Tuesday.

We will be taking a short hiatus for the Holidays as we did last year. Chris and I will catch our breath and spend time with family and friends. I will make some final announcements next week as we get set to rest before 2023 and season five.

Today’s episode is one of my favorites from way back in season number one. The title is Into the Mystic. The guest is author Paul Dunion. Enjoy!

E160: The Path of Humility w Special Guest

Michael Knight

E160 Introduction

Humility. Being humble. This is not a characteristic that comes natural for us in the West, is it? We are encouraged at a young age to not only have a healthy ego but to strive to be special, to be “the Man” in whatever endeavors you seek to make your mark. Be the smartest, the best, be special, be famous, blah blah blah.

We can see this lack of humility all over the place. Especially wherever there is “status”. In corporate business, with lawyers and doctors, with celebrities, with our athletes, and within ourselves. It is not something that many of us were taught, or so it seems. Humbleness isn’t flashy is it? So why cultivate it?

Yet something new is emerging as my guest today so eloquently expresses. That the humble path is the earthy and soulful path. That it has an elegance and a sort of magic to it.

I remember reading about the world famous New Zealand rugby team the All-Blacks. They are the greatest rugby team in world. Legendary. What do they teach and lead with? You guessed it, humility. The author of a book about the All-Blacks went to their training facility to interview their most well-known and most beloved players and found them happily sweeping out the locker room. Can you imagine seeing Michael Jordan or Kobe or Aaron Rogers or Aaron Judge sweeping up the garbage? Neither can I.

Yet, this humbleness permeates much of the male culture in Polynesia. The All-Blacks have many of the indigenous Maori and this emphasis on service comes from them. I have noticed this same, wonderful characteristic in many of the Polynesian men I have met. A gentle nature. A humility. A willingness to serve the tribe in whatever way is needed in the moment.

There is an invitation here for growth. For you and I to surrender to the process of letting go: of old identities and ways of being, of our arrogance, of old behaviors and ways of thinking and feeling that no longer serve us. The invitation is to travel lighter my friend. And right-sizing the ego and embracing the humble path may just be the key. My guest today is a friend and a man who exemplifies what I am talking about. Let’s go sit around the fire with him.

Michael Knight Bio-

My guest today is Michael Knight. Michael is a friend, former professional basketball player, a mentor/trainer and entrepreneur. Here is my interview with Michael Knight.

E160 Final Thoughts-

I hope you enjoyed our time with Michael Knight. He is part of a new generation of athletes that carry a strong spiritual vibe about them. These athletes express some deep wisdom about who we are and that, sometimes when we focus on ALL of us getting better, each individual finds his or her unique Hero’s Journey in life. All of that resonates here.

Thank you Basecampers and we’ll see you around the fire next week.

E158: A Doctor’s Journey

E158 Introduction

Hello Basecampers. Today’s episode is a reading of an excellent substack article I saw from Dr. Michael Turner MD. I thought it would just interesting to just act as a voiceover for the excellent article. It pairs well with last weeks episode on western medicine.

The article appeared on substack and is titled Losing My (Vaccine) Religion: A Doctor’s Journey from Hope to Despair by Dr. Michael Turner MD. Enjoy!

E157: The Cult of Western Medicine with Special Guest Rochelle Summers

E157 Introduction

With all the misinformation and disinformation coming out of the MSM about Covid and the vaccination program engineered by Big Pharma, something has gradually come into focus. That our blind trust in the “medical authorities” when they are intimately tied to something as corrupt as the pharmaceutical industry, no longer serves us. It is never easy to challenge something as monolithic as the western medical industry and the pharma-hydra that birthed it.

The fact is that more and more people are waking up. To the lies and deception. About the origins of Covid, about the so-called vaccines. And about the gaslighting and censorship that was administered by MSM and Big Tech.

Covid and its aftermath has turned out to be a massive red-pill for an unsuspecting public. Creating at first a sort of cognitive dissonance as most people put masks on and did what they were told. But people are going to be PISSED OFF when they get the full story of the Covid origins. Just wait. You can see it cresting just over the hill there and barreling towards us like a freight train.

It never ceased to amaze me how much blowback ordinary citizens and parents received by simply asking questions and challenging the mono-narrative. God forbid ask questions or have a different perspective or make different choices. Oye vay.

It has been an exhausting journey yet here WE THE PEOPLE stand. Wiser to the corruption, seeing the pattern, calling out each over-reach by the Globalists with more and more confidence and larger and larger numbers.

If you are just now starting to figure this out, we welcome you. For every one of you who have held two or more perspectives and haven‘t thrown the rest of us under the bus, I salute you. This information war has not been easy on any of us.

I will finish with a quote from the actor Woody Harrelson ,who said “The last people I would trust with my health is Big Pharma and Big Government because neither one of those strike me as caring entities.” Aho.

Enjoy the interview.

E156: The Open Way with Special Guest Enna Reittort

E156 Introduction

We have done quite a few episodes about or alluding to a changing of the guard on this planet. A reorganization of structures and ideas. Not the Great Reset as Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, and the WEF would have in store for you. To be succinct, they have all sorts of new ways of reducing our population and enslaving humanity in sometimes clever but mostly really obvious ways.

No, the reorganization we are talking about is along a much more humane path. The Open Path as my guest calls it. It is a path of cooperation, gratitude, and inspiration amongst all of us good humans, no matter your age, sex, status, skin color, or political affiliation. We have bonds that are much deeper than that. Are you following me?

People seem a bit uneasy right now and for good reason. Most are reaching for resources that help discern the truth from the noise and man is there a lot of noise right now. Hang in there Basecampers. It feels like we are on the precipice of about 3-5 major world events that will be coming at us. Ones that we will talk about for years and decades to come. We will be here doing our part to help discern and make sense of what is happening. And offering an alternate perspective, if that is helpful for you. A perspective that is perhaps a bit more uplifting and pro-humanity.

There seems to be a new future that is calling for us. One that is not dependent on our past or any preconceived notions. It‘s not confined by any religion or even any myth. There is something emerging in humanity. A recognition, perhaps. An inner knowing and strength in our respective missions.

Before we get to our interview, I would like express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for youFor all the ways you serve our tribe. In the 1001 ways you show up as a human, warts and all. And for all the ways you let go of things that no longer serve you and, therefor, humanity. I see you and I know how far you’ve come on YOUR Hero‘s Journey.

Thank you Basecampers and enjoy the interview.
