E110: The Heartbeat of Our Counter Narrative

E110 Introduction

Hello listeners, I hope you are well. I recently did an interview with Roy Holman’s Soulful Warrior podcast. I took a listen to the interview and thought you would appreciate it here.

Roy and I talk about men’s work, the spiritual and information war that is upon us and the current state of the world. I think it is particularly valuable for each of us to be in conversations about how we go about elevating our narrative. It is how we claim the higher ground. In a war, the higher ground has the advantage.

There is something emerging on the radar for me. As I see it, how we weave this narrative using myth, archetypes, and Divine partnership will ultimately be our legacy.

Our political differences are about to mean absolutely NOTHING my friend. I am in your hands and you are in mine. I trust that you are doing the messy, sometimes challenging work of awakening yourself to truth. We prepare ourselves and one another for the historic time we are about to step into.

Here is the interview. I hope you enjoy it.

E110 Final Thoughts

I hope you found that interview valuable. I like being on the other end of the interview from time to time as it allows me to express certain truths in a slightly different way. More off the cuff.

The piece about awakening and strengthening the collective King is, I believe, our edge. Since this is our edge, we will be returning to this archetype and idea again and again in the coming months as I feel this is how we help move the narrative upwards and in our favor.

One last thing, If you find this show valuable. If you sense that you will hear things here that you don’t elsewhere and this content helps you, please share this with a friend, family member, or colleague. Man or woman. Someone that you would like to see inside of this story with us. I appreciate your trust and you have my word that we will continue to bring you truth, wisdom, and a love of our mutual humanity.

E109: Breaking Habits

No matter where you are at in your life, habits will form a large portion of your time spent. We often will use habits distract or to self-soothe ourselves and we can tend to overdo things , especially if we have a compulsive tendency, which many of us do. Too much drinking or smoking, too much eating junk food or just too much eating, too much internet and porn, too much sports fixation or work fixation. Maybe we do all of it.

Or perhaps we have a habitual way of speaking. We always talk about the same things in the same ways over and over and over again, ad nauseum. Or maybe we habitually gossip or complain. I notice this habitual speech in myself as I engage in yet another conversation about sports. It’s not bad, per se. It’s just not particularly relevant. Not really anyways. We have so many other layers that want expression. Why habitually stay on the surface?

To make matters worse, we can spot this in others more readily. Habits are easy to see in others, aren’t they? We can spot the denial in our friends and loved ones a mile away. We can really SEE it in them but not so much with ourselves. So it is here that we find ourselves at the edge of our learning.

Habits tend to live in the shadow so we can’t always get a clear picture of them or the effect they are having on us. Sometimes it is not until we strip something away that we can see how something was impacting us or those around us.

How do we upgrade habits that don’t serve our best interests? As someone who has given up drinking and smoking years ago, I have been the direct beneficiary of looking at and letting go of habits that are unhealthy. And I am not a saint. Quite the contrary. My Hero’s Journey has been messy. Full of addiction and compulsion and methods of self-soothing that are less-than-noble.

Yet, none of that matters, does it? You may arrive at your next chapters tattered and worn-out and unsure of why you do what you do. I remember the fear that would come up whenever I would challenge myself to let go of an unhealthy habit. My ego would absolutely SCREAM to not do it!

What did I do? (after procrastinating and telling myself I couldn’t do it for months on end), I used the tools in my toolbox. I looked at my mission statement and my purpose in life and said, that is the kind of man I want to be. For my loved ones, for future generations, for my ancestors, and for the world.

I also asked for support whenever I needed it. Believe me, it takes a village to get us all to align with our courage and dignity. We are getting there, each of us. I am continually amazed at the soulful level of conversations I am having all over the place.

Sometimes the most heroic thing you can do is to challenge yourself to let go of the things you know really don’t serve you. To travel lighter in the next chapters of your story. I can promise you, you won‘t regret it. Let’s go talk to my guest today. A man who has also walked on, and continues to walk on, this path of discovery.

E108: The Mystery of St. Germain with Special Guest Chris Pallis

E108 Introduction

Over the years, I have become accustomed to looking out at the edges. We have found that if we are going to walk the talk on our own transformation, and live inspired and mission-driven, then it’s important to not get too complacent.  We tend to gather resources as we live our lives. Adding as we mature into men and women. It can be breath of fresh air to look at and bring yourself out to your edges. This is where some of your new tools will be. The ones you haven‘t learned about yet.

We have spoken about this in previous episodes. How do we receive the deeper clues that are whispering to us? How do we sharpen our perceptive abilities and grow our inner knowing? This is and will be crucial.

I first came across St. Germain as I was exploring the various mystery schools. He held an elevated position amongst mystics. There were rumors in spiritual circles that St. Germain was an Ascended Master who is still actively assisting humanity in their current predicament. Perhaps a being who has evolved to the point of being able to traverse dimensions of time and space.  These elevated masters (such as Christ or Mary Magdalene or St. Germain) are beings who are committed to assisting us in our ascension.

In short, we have allies in high places and will need to access them as we move forward. We all know many who count Christ as an Ascended being committed to helping humanity. There are others and they are available to contact.

Chris Pallis Bio

My guest today is Chris Pallis and he is a mystic, a teacher, and the director of the St. Germain Foundation here in Seattle. He is also a man I consider a mentor. A man who walks the talk and selflessly serves humanity. Here is my interview with Chris Pallis.

E108 Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed my interview with Chris. I meet with Chris every couple of months and I always come away inspired and uplifted and remembering what is important. My hope for you men is that you also draw to yourself a mentor a two. Someone who will help you prepare for the next chapters of your Hero’s Journey.

One thing I firmly believe in is the wisdom of bringing other perspectives into your life. When you do this you will hear more that will be out on your edge, particularly on the spiritual side of things. This will help you find new resources in the coming days.

E107 Dealing with Ourselves

E107 Introduction

One thing that we have come to understand through all this is that we are in a messy process. We are, as a tribe, learning how to deal with uncertainty and chaos. It is all around us right now. And my sense is that we also learning how to develop our inner knowing and our connection to the Divine light. For some this will be through Church and the Light of Christ. For others it will be a Gnostic path with Goddess motifs and the natural world. For still others, it may be an eastern wisdom tradition or aplant medicine of one kind or another to help accelerate this inner knowing. All roads lead to the mountaintop, as the mystic would say.

The process is always messy. Never neat and tidy. As we deal with our repression, denial, trauma, and amnesia. Many of us are working our way out of a kind of numbness that we have used to try to insulate us from the pain of separation or trauma. Others are working through the fog of disinformation that acts like a pollution in our minds. Making it difficult to see the truth or the Divine Light and to know which way is up and out of this mess.

How do we meet one another “where we are.” Knowing that where you are and where I am might be quite different. How do we get our arms around everyone we care about, which is this whole tribe that is in our care. It is my belief and my vision that we are entering a whole new chapter of our collective Hero’s Journey. We will leave cynicism and disbelief and habitually dark patterning behind us.

We are all, you and I, learning to hold the Light for one another. When one of us slips, another stops to help them up. This is our alchemy and our work. We are all in this together, working to elevate one another.  Hang in there for we are almost to the next chapter of our story.

Ben Bio-

Because of the nature of our conversation today, my guest wants to be able to speak freely and remain somewhat anonymous and we will use only his first name.

Ben is a friend, a software developer and spiritual warrior. He leads men’s groups and a Brazilian church that uses Ayehuasca or plant medicine as their sacrament. Something we talk about in today’s episode. Here is my interview w my good friend Ben.

E107 Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed our time with Ben. I love how authentic and heart-centered Ben is. It was fascinating to me how his work in a church with plant medicine looks a lot light a laboratory that shows us what we are all going through. Processing fear and uncertainty, healing trauma, letting go of ego and habitual ways of doing and seeing things.

It stood out to me when Ben said that in his work, the medicine is the body or Consciousness of Christ. I could feel the power and truth in this declaration.

Not everything is the way we once thought it was. It seems right now, EVERYONE is having to navigate this. THE TRUTH IS ALSO SEEKING THE SEEKER.

E106 Shaping Our Narrative with Special Guest Roy Holman

E106 Introduction

I love to interview people who can see patterns and speak with depth. It has always been my aim that Basecamp for Men would be a trusted source of resources and wisdom. So it is not an accident that I gravitate towards guests that express Soul.

For it is in this quality of earthiness or Soul that our ancient teachings can reach us. When each of us humbly does our work, we prepare ourselves for Divine messages and inspiration. We are the vessel for what is emerging.

I sometimes can barely contain my excitement for what is starting to crest in WE THE PEOPLE. Will we win? Or will fascism prevail? As we continue to anchor our thoughts, emotions, and intentions in the higher planes or dimensions, we all help to bring forth the new age we all seek. America will certainly lead as she always does.

It seems we are all just now discovering that there is another dream that is looking for us. Can you sense it? Are you participating? Our collective Hero’s Journey is about to turn another page. Let’s take a deep breath and continue to move into our story with courage.
