E20: What Death Teaches Us
E20 Introduction
I recently came across a hospice article on the top five regrets that those who are dying have. It got me thinking about death and what it can teach us about life.
Here are the top five regrets that those at the end are susceptible to have:
#1 I wish I had the courage to live a life true to myself instead of a life that others expected of me.
#2 I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.
#3 I wish I had the courage to express my feelings.
#4 I wish that I had stayed in touch with my friends.
#5 I wish I would have let myself be happier.
I would like to dedicate this episode to a few dear loved ones who have passed. My beloved mother-in-law Janna Pickering, known to us as Abbey, recently passed on Aug. 12th. She was a great teacher in the ways of love.
I would also like to dedicate this to two dear friends who passed away too soon, Sjon Delmore and Christophe Soulet. You men are loved, remembered, and missed every day.
This episode is for you.
